I have studied economics at Tallinn University of Technology and at the University of Freiburg in Germany. Before focusing on sustainability issues, I worked at SEB Bank in Estonia and Lithuania, both on the business side (including bond markets and securities infrastructure services) and with risk management topics (including operational risks, anti-money laundering, and sanctions implementation). 

Kurt Vonnegut's quote resonates with me: "We are going to the moon, that's fine, but what about Earth?" Unfortunately, this remark is not as fictional as his literary works. 

At Sustinere, I focus on both sustainable finance topics and supporting local businesses in managing their risks and opportunities optimally in the context of global changes. I believe it's important to reach a point where the environmental and social impacts of business are an integral part of every economic model.
